BELLEUVE, Neb. — College of the Ozarks couldn't put a halt to Bellevue's dominance within the MCAC on Friday, as the Lady 'Cats were swept by the Lady Bruins 25-21, 28-26, 25-17.
The sweep clinched the MCAC regular-season championship for Bellevue for the third year in a row and was its 28th straight conference win.
C of O (23-10 and 11-2) was in control in the second game and held an 18-11 lead, before Bellevue (26-6 and 13-0) rallied.
Lace Puffer's 13 kills, Kali Schnacker's 12 kills and Rachel Muller's 11 kills topped the Lady Bruins.
C of O received nine kills, five digs and one block from Veronica Barrientos, 12 kills and seven digs from Jennifer Nichols, 31 assists from Paige Flowers, six kills and five digs from Tessa Peterson and 21 digs from Brittney Day.
C of O's attack percentage was only .154, while Bellevue's was .243.
The Lady 'Cats are at Peru State on Saturday.
The MCAC Tournament will be at Bellevue next weekend.
